Through the ages, yogis have used animal skins to sit on during yoga and meditation. Lord Shiva and Baba Siri Chand, Guru Nanak’s son, are just two of the many. In Kundalini Yoga, it is recommended not to use synthetic or plastic materials to sit on as they interfere with the energy and block your auras expansion. Yogi Bhajan spoke of synthetic yoga mats as taking up to 1/3 of the aura away from a person and suggested the use of sheepskins. Sheepskins are used widely in the medical community for the non-allergenic properties. Sheepskins provide a soft, supportive area to comfortably practice yoga and meditation.

Yogi Tea 瑜珈茶

Yogi Bhajan 的 Yogi Tea 瑜珈茶

成份:

* 2公升水
* 15個丁香
* 20黑胡椒子
* 3支肉桂
* 20 個小豆蔻(先打開小豆蔻)
* 8 片新鮮生薑 (0.5 CM 厚,去皮)
* 1 包紅茶袋
* 乳品或豆奶和蜂蜜或楓糖漿或黑糖來調味

把2公升水燒開,放入丁香煮一分鐘。

放入小豆蔻, 黑胡椒子 ,肉桂,生薑, 加蓋沸騰煮30分鐘。

關小火煮 2-3小時。

把火關掉,放入紅茶包。

等茶涼後用網狀過濾。

放在冰箱保存。

想喝一杯的時候,以個人口味,加熱和放入豆奶和蜂蜜。

夏季飲用冰茶也非常美味。

瑜珈茶有維護和強化 肝,脾,腎,大腸,神經系統以及腦的功能。這是一個養身的咖啡替代品。

Ingredients:

  • 2 quarts water
  • 15 whole cloves
  • 20 black peppercorns
  • 3 sticks of cinnamon
  • 20 whole cardmon pods (split the pods first)
  • 8 fresh ginger slices (1/4″ thick, no need to peel)
  • 1/2 teaspoon regular or decaf black tea leaves (approximately 1 tea bag)
  • Dairy or soy milk and honey or maple syrup to taste

Preparation:

Bring two quarts of water to a boil. Add cloves and boil one minute. Add cardamom, peppercorns, cinnamon, and ginger. Cover and boil for 30 minutes. Reduce heat and simmer for two to three hours. Remove from heat, add black tea, and let cool. Strain and store in the refrigerator. Reheat when you want a cup and add milk and honey to taste.

Yogi Tea is said to help support the function of the liver, spleen,
kidneys, large intestines, nervous system and brain.  It is a great
replacement for coffee.

Mul(a) Bhanda 底鎖閥

Mul(a) Bhanda
Mul Bhanda, 又稱「底鎖閥」,最常被運用在kundalini yoga。它的運作技巧是在同時間拉伸直腸、性器官與肚臍三個地方,在Kundalini能量釋放後能產生刺激心靈的作用。在「底鎖閥」的鍛鍊上靠的是吸氣和吐氣;這個鎖閥能連結身體主要的兩個能量流動,Prana and Apana (Prana指的是展現能量生產的上層chakras(脈輪),第四、第五脈輪;Apana指的是展現能量消減的第一、二、三脈輪)。「底鎖閥」的第一個動作是收縮直腸,讓它提高,就像是要阻止腸子的移動;再來是提起性器官就像是要忍住排尿;最後是伸展肚臍,讓下腹部緊貼脊椎以便直腸、性器官能更接近肚臍。
